Power from Chainsaw Man – Everything About Manga's Most Chaotic Character – 2026

In a manga full of extraordinary characters, Power manages to be the most immediately beloved. She's loud, selfish, completely unpredictable, and fundamentally dishonest — and she is also, beneath all of that, one of the most genuinely touching characters Tatsuki Fujimoto has ever created. This is the complete guide to Power, the Blood Fiend of Chainsaw Man.

What Is a Fiend?

In the world of Chainsaw Man, Fiends are Devils who have taken over a human corpse. Unlike Hybrids (like Denji), who merged with a Devil while living, Fiends have essentially displaced the human consciousness entirely. They retain the appearance of the human whose body they inhabit, but their personality and motivations are those of the Devil within. Power is the Blood Fiend — a Devil born from humanity's fear of blood, inhabiting a human body.

Power's Personality – Chaos in Human Form

Power is magnificently terrible as a person. She lies constantly and poorly. She takes credit for others' work. She runs from danger and denies it afterward. She is aggressively self-interested, loud about her own greatness, and deeply invested in maintaining an image of fearlessness while being frequently terrified. She cheats at everything, including board games, and considers this a sign of intelligence.

What makes her so compelling is that all of this is completely transparent. She's not actually good at lying — everyone can see exactly what she's doing. And gradually, over the course of the series, it becomes clear that beneath the chaos is someone who has learned to perform invulnerability because vulnerability has always been punished. Her genuine emotional connections — with her cat Meowy, and eventually with Denji — are all the more powerful for how carefully she tries to hide them.

Her Powers – Blood Manipulation

As the Blood Fiend, Power has the ability to manipulate blood — her own and, in some circumstances, the blood of others. Her signature technique is Thousand Stitches — creating weapons and constructs from blood that she hardens into solid forms. She can create hammers, spears, and barriers from blood, and can regenerate as long as she has access to blood to drink. Her physical strength is also significantly above human normal.

Power and Denji – An Unlikely Bond

Power and Denji's relationship is one of the most entertaining and eventually most emotional in the series. They fight constantly, insult each other relentlessly, and compete over the most trivial things. They are also, clearly, genuinely attached to each other in a way that neither is fully capable of acknowledging. The scenes where that attachment becomes undeniable — particularly in the later arcs of Part 1 — are some of the most affecting in all of Chainsaw Man.
