This workflow requires parallel data fetching — Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Analytics and news sources all need to be queried simultaneously, not sequentially. Make.com can do this but n8n's parallel execution is more elegant and reliable for 4+ simultaneous data sources. Step-by-Step Architecture
6:30am trigger — n8n schedule node. Weekdays only (add a condition: if current day is Saturday or Sunday, exit immediately).
Parallel data fetch — four simultaneous nodes: Google Calendar (today's events), Gmail (emails received since 6pm yesterday, starred or from known contacts), Google Analytics (previous day's key metrics), Serper API (industry news for configured keywords).
n8n Merge node — waits for all four parallel branches to complete before continuing.
4-step prompt chain — Prompt 1: summarise urgent emails. Prompt 2: write meeting prep notes for each attendee using Clearbit enrichment. Prompt 3: write metrics narrative. Prompt 4: select and frame 3 news items for strategic relevance.
HTML assembly — JavaScript Code node formats the final briefing with proper HTML structure, tables for the schedule, and priority colour coding for action items.
Gmail send — delivers the briefing to your personal email at 6:45am sharp.
