Taiko Thunder 2049 as a ready-to-hang canvas: an invented taiko drummer with a shaved head, a white hachimaki headband and a sleeveless black happi coat with acid-yellow trim, chrome cybernetic arms flexing as two glowing yellow sticks crash down onto a giant chrome-rimmed drum. Every hit bursts into cyan and magenta shockwave rings and synthwave sound-wave bars, while rain falls, two more drummers keep the beat behind him and a huge red sun glows over the neon megacity. Made for the synthwave sound of ASTRO-2049 and drawn in a bold anime cel-shaded style with thick outlines and flat neon colour. The palette is black, acid yellow, blood red, hot magenta and electric cyan. The matte finish keeps glare low under desk and LED lights.
